Happy New Year

Welcome to 2009 and Happy New Year to all our clients. What an awesome year 2008 has been for us. We can't even begin to thank each and every one of you for making our first year in business such a huge success. Ok, so we can come up with one way of saying thanks...for each session in 2009 all 'repeat' clients will receive a FREE 8x10 :)

Now that Christmas is done and we are into a new year, we are heading into new special occassions, the first being Valentine's Day. We are already in the process of setting up our studio for this theme and can't wait to start shooting all the little ones with their hearts and flowers. Generally, this is also a popular time for engagements.....so of course we'd like to offer something to our new clients as well......any new client coming in for engagement or Valentine's Day sessions will also receive a FREE 8x10 from their session.

Our referral program is still up and running and many clients have obtained free shoots just be referring their friends. We are going to continue this program into 2009. Refer 3 and your next shoot is FREE......remember to tell all your friends and family about us to take advantage of this great offer. Once you have referred 3 new clients to us your next shoot with be compliments of us......this includes a location shoot (within the Durham Region).

We are now offering a few different packages for prints and discs. After taking a poll of our 2008 clients they wished we offered a variety of packages to choose from......and so.....we will now be offering 7 different print packages. We are sure that everyone will find something to fit their budget and their needs. Feel free to check out our website for full details on investing in prints from MBP Photography.

Our wedding packages and our bellies to babies packages have changed as well, so please take a look at those if your getting married or expecting in 2009.......we have added extras with no additional cost :)

Our session fees have been lowered for 2009 as a way of saying thanks for such a great 2008. Again, we are soooooo looking forward to working with you all in the upcoming year.

Here are our discounts and specials for January 2009
1. Pet Photography $40.00 on location (Oshawa dog park).....$20.00 from each session is donated to the Oshawa Humane Society due to the recent fire and loss. You receive all images on a disc to print/enlarge as you wish.

2. Contest- our January contest is RESOLUTIONS......send us your funniest new year's resolution. Email your entries to michelleb_1975@rogers.com We will choose one entry to receive a FREE SESSION at the end of January. Entires do not have to be long, they just have to be funny. In the subject line of the email please put: Resolutions Contest.

3. Facebook referral........invite all your friends for a chance to win a FREE SESSION with an 8x10 included.......how you ask????? Invite all your friends to join our facebook group MBP Photography......have them post on the wall that they were referred by you......the person who refers the most new members will win the free session. We have held this contest a few times over the last year and its always a huge success :)

Family Fun

So each year for Christmas we try to do something with photos.......this year my sister decided that she wanted to make our parents a photo book...awesome idea....and so we spent an evening capturing a few 'family' shots for the book........here is a sample for that session.

Diana & Martin

Ok, so you guys knew you'd make the blog at some point or another.....we attempted to get some shots of Diana & Martin who are hilarious, but not the best photography subjects. They are such a loving couple that we insisted on capturing some recent photos for them. After approx. 168 photos we got what we would classify as an awesome shot of them......from there it was smooth sailing :)

Ryan & his Dad

Ryan's Mom was the host of the portrait party and she wanted a couple shots of her son and his Dad....what a great idea :) Ryan & Rex were great to work with and we captured a few great father/son moments with them. Here is a sample from their session.

Jodi & Lee

Jodi and her boyfriend Lee were also guests of the portrait party. What a fabulous looking couple they are. Jodi has the most amazing smile we've ever seen. You can totally see the love between these two just looking at their photos. Here are a couple of our favourites.

Lynette & Family

Lynette and her family were also guests of the December portrait party. They had two of the most adorable and well behaved little guys. The boys were all smiles for their photos :) Mom and Dad were great to work with too. We are looking forward to working with this family again soon. Here's a couple sneak peeks of their session.

Little Miss I

What a beautiful and happy little girl Miss I was. She was a little shy at first and took a little while to warm up to having her photo taken, but after she did she was all smiles and a joy to photograph. Here are a couple peeks from her session

Welcome Taralyn

Debbie & Neil welcomed their first bundle of joy........a beautiful baby girl. Taralyn was only a few weeks old when we took these photos. She was as cute as a button. She looked like an absolute angel. We can't wait to capture the next few months of her life in photos. There were so many awesome photos to choose from....but these are our absolute favourites from her session :)

Welcome Carter

Two of my very good friends Kristin & Greg recently welcomed their new bundle of joy baby Carter. We were so thrilled when they asked us to capture their newborn photos. What an adorable baby he is. He was so laid back and photogenic. We could have put him in any position imaginable :) We had a really hard time narrowing down a few to post here, but these are our favourites.

Sarah & Family

Sarah, Mel and their two adorable kids were also part of the portrait party in early December. Sarah was the most photogenic and beautiful woman we have ever met. She totally worked the camera lol. Mel looked great on the camera, but as a guy was totally not interested in having his photo taken.......who can blame him though when there was a great party going on upstairs :) Both kids were adorable and we loved taking photos of them. I had a hard time narrowing down to post these few favourites.

Family of 4

Alicia and her boys were a part of the portrait party we did in early December. They are an awesome little family with two very adorable boys.....but as we all know boys will be boys and they were not very happy with having their photo taken.....thankfully we managed to sidetrack them a few times and got a couple great candid shots of their family :) Here are a few sneak peeks.

Little Miss Z

Its always nice when extended family come to you for some photos :) Christine and her family visited us in the studio a couple weeks ago to capture some Christmas and family shots. Little Miss Z was very shy and not to fond of the studio......but she came around eventually and we to capture her adorable little face. Here's a few peeks into her session

Andy Family

We met an awesome family at the portrait party with two of the most photogenic kids we've ever met. Andrew and Andrea were fantastic to work with, full of huge smiles and so much love written all over them. Their kids were so cute and so much fun.
